		<description>These days I&#039;m using activeCollab. I like it, but it&#039;s not free. It also lacks svn/git support.. major bummer. We now have to use it along with Warehouse (its now FOSS) instead of Trac. 

ClockingIT looks great. I&#039;ll give it a try.</description>

To me the best project management app ever ever (basecamp is not even near) is called ClockingIT. Free and Open Source.

		<description>the single most useful feature of basecamp (for me) is that when you reply to a basecamp-generated e-mail, it posts to the thread instead of to the user who sent the message. ProjectPier doesn&#039;t do this, and is therefore now taken back off my server after an hour of hope.</description>
