The Secret to Making Money Online by DHH (video)
Mon, Jul 14, 2008

The following video is a talk by David Heinemeier Hansson (usually referred to simply as DHH) given at Stanford University’s Kresge Auditorium, for the day-long ‘08 Startup School conference.
The talk is primarily centered on building a profitable Internet business, and the whole VC/Startup hype currently sliding through the interwebs. DHH gives good points for those who are sitting around waiting for Yahoo! or Google to acquire their startup for $300 million dollars.
Problem? You can watch it at its original location here, or in low resolution here.
On How to stay motivated? DHH (almost jokingly) recommends using a parent filter (a good idea. I’ve thought about writing some sort of ADHD Firefox extension, similar in nature to a parent filter), and to work less hours per day. Who the hell gets anything done working 14 hours per day? See the Pareto Principle (also known as the 80/20 rule)
